Find Your Pause mini-retreat:

Finding More Joy

Sunday, May 24, 3.00 PM - 6.00 PM

A Half-Day Retreat of mindfulness, breathwork, movement, self-compassion, and playful connection

 in Englewood, NJ

With: Miranda Lee, MS, ACC
Certified Meditation &  Yoga Teacher and Resilience Coach

It’s not too late for joy. You didn’t miss your chance. You’re ready now.

Finding more joy in life is a 3-hour afternoon retreat that blends mindfulness, breathwork, gentle movement, self-compassion practices, and playful connection.

Take a step towards more joy and stop waiting for permission to prioritize yourself. Designed specifically for anyone who want practical tools — not theory, not someday strategies — for accessing joy right now.

Who this retreat is for you if...

  • You’re feeling emotionally or mentally tired and longing for space to reset
  • • You want to feel more joy but aren’t sure how to access it
  • • You find yourself caught in self-criticism or feelings of “not enough”
  • • You want practical, down-to-earth mindfulness tools without anything overly complicated
  • • You feel open to reflection, movement, and gentle personal growth

No prior meditation or movement experience is required — everything is offered with warmth, accessibility, and care.

 What happens during your retreat:

Opening circle and intention setting - We begin by creating a safe, warm space where you can arrive as you are. Through gentle sharing and connection, we’ll set the tone for an afternoon of self-discovery, play, and coming home to yourself.

Workshop: Finding Joy Right Now - An interactive exploration of how joy lives in this present moment, not someday in the future. You’ll learn the science behind accessing joy through your nervous system, paired with a guided meditation and gentle movement to help you FEEL joy in your body. Practical tools you can use the moment you walk back through your front door.

Workshop: Self-Compassion for Healing - A grounded, research-based look at why we’re so hard on ourselves and how self-compassion can change everything. You’ll learn what self-compassion actually is (and isn’t), why it’s so hard to practice, and most importantly — how to FEEL it in your body. This isn’t theory. You’ll leave with an embodied practice to counterbalance that critical voice and live with more balance, kindness, and ease.

Playful Ritual: Letting Go & Choosing Joy - This is where it gets FUN. Through guided reflection and journaling, you’ll identify what’s draining your energy and what truly nourishes you. Then we move into a playful, somatic practice using bubbles (yes, bubbles!) to physically release what no longer serves you and actively choose what you want more of. This taps into neuroplasticity — literally rewiring your brain toward joy by creating new neural pathways while weakening the old ones that keep you stuck.

Closing circle and integration - We end by reflecting on what emerged, sharing insights, and helping you take these practices home. You’ll leave with clarity, tools, and a sense of possibility that stays with you long after the retreat ends.

No two retreats are exactly the same - each one evolves with the energy of the group and what’s needed in that moment.

What you take home:

  • Recorded guided meditation for accessing joy and presence - yours to return to whenever you need it
  • Your personalized Pause Guide with all the practices, self-compassion tools, and manifestation techniques from the retreat - a practical resource you can use in your daily life
  • Your personal roadmap - the list you created of what you’re letting go of and what you’re inviting in

Joy isn’t something you have to wait for. It’s available right now — you just need to learn how to notice it.

What You'll receive:

An afternoon to (re)discover joyful moments, however small, right now

You’ll leave with practical, science-backed tools to notice and savor the small moments that aren’t actually small at all — the blue sky, your morning coffee, the present moment. Plus a recorded meditation you can return to anytime so that you can practice finding joy anytime. ….

Self-Compassion Practices for ease and balance
Embodied tools to catch that judging inner critic and replace it with kindness… so that you can be gentler with yourself, one moment at a time.

Clarity on what to let go of and what to invite in

Through playful practice (yes, bubbles!), you’ll create your personal roadmap of what’s draining you and what nourishes you… so that you know exactly what you’re ready to release and what you want more of.

Connection with like-minded women who get it — you’re not alone in this. Three hours in a space where you don’t have to explain, perform, or be anything other than human… so that you can finally exhale, be seen, and remember you’re not the only one asking these questions.

Science-backed practices, not woo-woo — everything is grounded in research on nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and self-compassion… so that you can trust these tools actually work and feel confident using them in your real life.

A low-commitment first step — this isn’t a week-long retreat you have to save up for or justify. It’s a Sunday afternoon. Local. Accessible. A gentle way to dip your toe back into prioritizing yourself… so that you can start choosing joy without the overwhelm, guilt, or massive time and financial investment.
