Find Your Pause Day retreat:Â
Mindfulness & Nature
Sunday, April 26, 10.00 AM - 4.00 PM in Tenafly, NJ
A Day of Meditation, Movement & Nature Immersion
With: Miranda Lee, MS, ACCÂ
Certified Meditation &  Yoga Teacher and Resilience CoachÂ
A full-day immersive experience where you pause long enough to remember who you are beneath all the roles you play.
Using the restorative power of nature and evidence-based mindfulness practices, youâll reconnect to your inner world - that part of yourself youâve been too busy to hear. The part that knows what YOU need.
Â
This retreat is for you if:Â
Youâve been the capable one for everyone else - managing needs, keeping plates spinning, being the person everyone leans on
Youâve disappeared somewhere along the way - successful by every measure, but you canât remember the last time you felt like YOURSELF
Youâre craving more than surface-level self-care - not just a spa day, but actual tools to reconnect with who you are beneath all the doing
Youâre ready to pause - not to add one more thing to your list, but to finally remember the parts of yourself you actually like
If thatâs you? Youâre in exactly the right place.
Â
What we will do together
Opening circle and mindful council - Using the power of storytelling to connect authentically within yourself and with the group. Youâll realize how similar we all are in our struggles and remember who you are beneath all the roles you play.
Mindful movement and meditation - Gentle practices to help you decompress and unwind. Personalized for every body and experience level, so whether youâre brand new or have practiced for years, youâll feel held and restored.
Nature as your teacher - An interactive exploration of âgreen mindâ - the science behind why nature calms our nervous system. Through short, relaxing practices, youâll discover how to use nature as a tool to find yourself again, even in your everyday life.
Midday pause for reflection - Your time to wander, breathe, and let everything marinate. Bring a picnic to enjoy in nature, or explore the nearby town and find a quiet spot for lunch. This solo time is intentional - space for you to process, reflect, and just BE without anyone needing anything from you.
Forest bathing meditation - A guided practice in nature (weather permitting) where you can simply BE. No doing, no fixing, no managing. Just you, the trees, and the space to breathe.
Sound bath for deep restoration - An extended sound meditation that soothes your nervous system at the deepest level. Youâll leave feeling genuinely relaxed - the kind that stays with you when you walk back through your front door.
Closing circle and intention setting - We come together to honor what emerged during the day and set a personal intention youâll take home with you. This isnât just about feeling good for one day - itâs about anchoring yourself to these practices so you can keep coming back to YOU even when life gets overwhelming again.
No two retreats are exactly the same - each one evolves with the energy of the group and whatâs needed in that moment.

Why am I teaching this retreat?
I know what itâs like to lose yourself - because Iâve been there.
When my kids were born, I got so anxious that I forgot who I was. I was managing everyone elseâs needs, being the strong one⌠and somewhere along the way, I disappeared. I knew I needed to remember myself - not just for me, but to be the person and mother I actually wanted to be.
So I went on a long journey of exploration through mindfulness, movement, and neuroscience. I studied with traditional teachers in India and cutting-edge neuroscientists in the US, searching for practices that actually WORK when life is chaotic and youâre exhausted.
Now, with 25+ years in yoga and meditation and over a decade of teaching, I blend ancient wisdom with modern, evidence-based practices. I teach cancer recovery yoga at Englewood Hospital, holding space for people in their hardest moments. I lead resilience programs for companies like Goldman Sachs and Microsoft, helping high-performers reconnect to themselves.
But hereâs what really matters: I created this retreat because I remember what it felt like to be lost. And I know the way back. This isnât just theory - itâs the path I walked myself. And now I get to hold space for other women finding their way home to themselves.
What you'll walk away with
Practical Tools You Can Use Immediately:
5 evidence-based mindfulness techniques (each under 5 minutes) you can use at your desk, in your car, or lying awake at 2am to calm your nervous system and reconnect to yourself
The âgreen mindâ framework - the neuroscience behind why nature regulates your nervous system, plus 3 nature-based practices you can use anywhere (yes, even in your own backyard) to find calm when life feels overwhelming
Your comprehensive Pause Guide - all 5 techniques, the complete green mind framework, guided practice instructions, and the science behind why each tool works, so you can keep coming back to yourself long after the retreat ends
An Experience Designed for Real Connection & Lasting Change:
Intimate group of just 12 women - small enough to feel safe sharing whatâs really going on (not performing or hiding) and receive personal attention instead of getting lost in a crowd
Opening mindful council with storytelling - connect authentically with other women through mindful listening and realize youâre not alone in this struggle
Intention setting to anchor your experience - leave with a clear, personal intention that keeps you connected to WHY youâre prioritizing yourself, even when life gets busy again
Gorgeous outdoor park setting - experience nature as part of the healing (not just talk about it) in a beautiful environment that inspires you to keep coming back to these practices
Sound bath journey for deep restoration - with my colleague Johanna Samad so that you leave feeling physically restored in a way that lasts beyond the car ride home
Optional follow-up session - get support when real life kicks back in and you need help maintaining your practice, because momentum is easier to lose when youâre back in the chaos
